In 1989, Mr. K.S.Desai (B.Pharm of 1952) started a company called Techno Econimic Services Pvt Ltd. Mr. K.S.Desai has a vast experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Formulation. Subsequeltly the company is managed by Mr. Sunil Desai (M.Sc) under his guidance. The company started with contract manufacturing of exports of pharmaceutical products. In the year 1996, the company started its own manufacturing of pahrma products , and exported the same to Nigeria. Once they established their foothold in Nigeria, they started expanding their business in other African countries as well. techno economic became a 100 percent export unit and currently has its reach in majority western African countries like Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Mali and Repiblic of Guinea. From zero turnover the company has reached turnover of US$ 6.0 Million till today.

The company expanded it capacity by acquiring Prashi Pharma Pvt Ltd situated at Shirgoan, Plaghar, Maharashtra. It has very high capacity ltablet, Capsule, and Liquid orals. It has very high capacity to manufacture tablets both coated and uncoated of Approx 200 million per month and 20 million capsules and 1 million bottles of syrups. Net worth of both companies is about US$ 8 million.

Prashi pharma pvt ltd products currently have the African FDA approval and it is in the process of obtaining WHO GMP approval as well.
